The School Day

A Day at Tidcombe Primary School

Our school gates open at 08.45 and the doors will be unlocked by 08.50. We ask that children are in and settled to early work by 9am to have the register taken and any lunches ordered. Any child arriving at school after 9am will be marked as late.

Morning Break

Nursery, Reception – Year 3 10.00am-10.15am (school fruit is available)

Year 4 – Year 6  10.30am – 10.45am

Lunch Break

Nursery, Reception – Year 2 (KS1) 11.55am – 12.55pm (school fruit is available)

Year 3 – Year 6 (KS2) 12.20pm – 1.20pm

Lunchtime activities are available on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday with specialist coaches from Premier Sports. Children will need to bring a change of old sports clothes as some activities will take place on the school field.

Mrs Farrant will run her “ditch club” in dry weather and children are encouraged to bring in their named wellington boots to take part in den building.

Table tennis for the older children is also a popular lunchtime activity and ping pong balls are available from Sharron in the kitchen for 20p each.

Afternoon Break

Children in KS1 will have an afternoon break at 2.45pm (this may vary if we have an early assembly).

Assembly takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 3pm so we ask that if your child does need to be collected early for a medical appointment, please let the office or class teacher know so that assemblies aren’t disrupted. Thank you.

The school day finishes at 3.30pm
