Agencies / Contractor visits to school
In line with guidance supported by the DFES “Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education” regulated through Ofsted, this school complies with all regulations and requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, (SVGA), in respect of appropriate checks and clearances for all staff, volunteers and contractors engaged to provide or supervise the provision of services at these premises.
As a Service Provider, the services you plan to deliver at this site will involve contact with children. You are therefore required to provide the office with a letter which will confirm that your organisation has undertaken the required safeguarding checks and you fully comply with the requirements of the SVGA in that all persons seeking to deliver services at this school will have an enhanced DBS. Further that these persons will also have two references checked as well as complying with The Right to Work in The UK.
In order to action the delivery of your service/s the names of all persons involved will need to be submitted to Tidcombe Primary School at least 24 hours before your activities or service is provided. All visitors and persons will need to register their arrival at reception where they will be asked to provide personal photo identification [this will include partner agencies].
You will be asked to leave your mobile phone in the office or in your car when onsite. However, if you require use of a photographic device as part of your visit (for example if you are a contractor) then please inform the school AT LEAST 48 hours prior to arrival.
