Curriculum Statement 2023

At Tidcombe Primary School we strive to provide a broad and well-balanced curriculum that motivates all children to learn. By promoting our school values of Resilience, Confidence, Empathy, Enquiry and Aspiration in everything we do at school, including our teaching of the curriculum, we aim to prepare the children at Tidcombe for the next stage in their education and their future life.  In EYFS the children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. As an academy within St Christopher’s MAT, it is not a statutory requirement for us to follow the requirements of the National Curriculum. However, in Years 1 – 6, we deliver programmes of study of the National Curriculum.

Please see the progression documents below, that detail the knowledge and skills that pupils will gain at each stage of the curriculum. To view how the curriculum will be taught, please view the long term plans at the bottom of this page.
