If you have any concerns about any child, and feel that you need to speak to someone to discuss these concerns, then please telephone the school on 01884 252973 or come into the school office.
The school has four staff fully trained in Child Protection: Claire Goddard, Sara Smith, Kate Southcott and Simon Green is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). In his absence ANY of these staff can carry out his role.
Our school is fully compliant with KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) and the latest statutory guidance can be found:

This means that any visitors to the school will have to have background checks carried out prior to visiting OR be accompanied at all times. We can’t always guarantee that staff will be available to accompany you, so you may be turned away because of this, please contact us prior to your visit.

Operation Encompass is a Police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools before the start of the next school day when a child or young person has been involved or exposed to a domestic abuse incident the previous evening.
The information is given in strict confidence to a school’s Key Adult to enable support to be given dependent on the needs and wishes of the child.
Operation Encompass is a Trauma Informed and Trauma Sensitive charity. We acknowledge and understand the impact of Domestic Abuse as an Adverse Childhood Experience.
