At Tidcombe, we understand the importance of a broad and varied curriculum to meet the needs of all our pupils. Our Forest School plays an important role in supplying children with transferable skills that will not only serve their indoor learning, but also support them beyond school. Led by Forest School leader, Mrs Adie, sessions look to explore our natural surroundings, learning how to build dens, make fires or tie knots, whilst developing problem solving skills, students' resilience, fostering teamwork and a positive attitude to risk. We are outside whatever the weather and children love the opportunity to extend their love of learning to our outdoor lessons.
Our Forest School sessions are once a week for EYFS and Year one, and once a term for years two-six.
