Get to know our staff

Q. How long have you worked at Tidcombe?

I've worked at Tidcombe since 1997 and there are still some of the original staff there.

Q. Do you lead a subject?

My current specialism is delivering the reading programme, Little Wandle.  It's an absolute pleasure and joy to see the progress that the children make and their love for reading grow.

Q. Do you have a favourite subject?

My favourite subject is history.  In the past I have brought in pottery shards dating back to the Romans for the children to handle.

Q. Have you had any careers aside from teaching?

In former years I was a legal secretary, but I wish I had followed my dreams to become an archaeologist.

Q. What is your favourite book?

My favourite book is 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austin.

Q. Recommend one thing to do in the area for someone who has recently moved here.

I would recommend visiting the Tiverton Museum so that you can find out the history of the area.
